Every bite of a pear is a bite worth taking thanks to the various health benefits that pears have to offer!

Pears are one of nature’s healthiest options. They contain calcium, iron, and protein and are full of antioxidants and vitamins to support bone, heart, and tissue health. White-fleshed fruits (like pears) have flavonoids that have been studied to decrease stroke occurrence. Pears have been studied to protect against lung cancer due to their high fiber levels and various antioxidants.

Pears also contain vitamin C that helps maintain a healthy immune system and helps fight against free radicals (those unstable atoms) that try to damage our body’s cells during a process called oxidation. Pears are even hypoallergenic, making it less likely for those with severe food allergies to have reactions from eating a pear.

Pears were once deemed “fruit of the gods” and now it’s apparent why!
