Dive into anything

I'm building an ebike with a motor kit and a DIY battery. Motor just has a red and black wire so I get to choose the connector I want. I could just solder the wires directly to the battery but I want to have some sort of quick disconnect because I'm worried that my battery would be a target for theft. Also easier to charge this way.

I'll be running a 1000W system, battery would peak at around 52V @ 20A.

From my time in the RC community, I know that Deans is popular, but AFAIK it doesn't really snap in particularly tight? Would something like XT60 make more sense?

Another noob question, regarding charging. Do I plug the charger into the same connector that the motor is powered off? I'd think that there might be a separate balance charger port but I'm not sure. A lot of the chargers I see online seem to have barrel plugs or XLR connectors, which seem like an odd choice.

Or since the BMS is in the battery pack, rather than the charger, is it just a "dumb" positive & negative going into the pack?

Would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

Also, I'm assuming I need to solder on the connectors? Haven't done this stuff in a while so don't really remember lol.
