The basic function of inverter is to convert direct current to alternating current.

Low frequency inverter adopts low frequency transformer to boost voltage. It first convert dc current into low frequency low voltage alternating current, and then through power frequency transformer boost into 220V50Hz ac for load use.

The working frequency of low frequency transformer generally refers to the power frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz. The signal changes slowly and the waveform is smooth.

The advantages of low frequency: relatively simple structure, stable and reliable operation, strong overload capacity and impact resistance.

Disadvantages: Heavier, larger, more expensive, and less efficient than high-frequency inverters of the same power.

Some models of high frequency inverters

High frequency inverter adopts high frequency transformer to boost voltage. It first through the high frequency DC/DC transformation technology, the low voltage DC through the high frequency transformer boost, and then through the high frequency rectifier filter circuit rectification into more than 360V DC, finally through the inverter circuit to get 220V AC for load use.

The working frequency of high-frequency transformers is generally above 1KHz, even tens or hundreds of KHz. The signal changes very fast and has abrupt changes.

The advantages of high frequency inverter: light weight, small size, small standby power and high efficiency.

The disadvantage is that the circuit is relatively complex, the load capacity and impact resistance are weaker than the low frequency inverter. But with the development of technology, the load capacity of hf inverter will also be improved.
