The silicon carbide ceramic foam filter is a new industrial ceramic product with three-dimensional reticulated structure.

Description

Sefu company offers silicon carbide ceramic foam filters in all common sizes starting from 1.5×1.5×0.5" up to 6x4x1.25" and 6x6x1.25" mm. Custom-tailored solutions ( e.g. conical shaped filters ) are available on request. Silicon carbide ceramic foam filter sized 6×4" and 6×6" are recommended to be used in thickness 1.25" instead of the common thickness of 7/8". 1.25" thick filters have the advantage that the bending strength is significantly higher than that of 7/8" thick filters.


The silicon carbide ceramic foam filter product by Sefu can be used for larger castings or longer casting times. The listed porosities below are used most widely:

10 PPI: Grey and Spherical Iron.

20 PPI: Spherical Iron and casting with a very high demand for quality.

30 PPI: Malleable Iron and castings with an extremely high demand on quality.


Advantage of Silicon Carbide Ceramic Foam Filter:

Application:
